Description of equipment

1.  Brief introduction of CNC system

1.1 American Hypertherm CNC system

New with EDGE®  Connect CNC

• Hypertherm’s Phoenix® version 10 CNC software

• Microsoft Windows 10 embedded operating system

• ProNest® CNC automatic nesting with process optimization

• Internal software Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and software-based operator’s console that enable unique cutting machine features

•  EtherCAT machine interface for easy connectivity and superior motion

Easy to use

Hypertherm’s proprietary Phoenix software is common across the entire family of CNCs. This software is designed specifically for the X-Y and bevel cutting market. Through years of cutting experience, Hypertherm® engineers have learned the critical parameters to achieve superior cut quality on every part.

Phoenix CNC software improves cut quality and productivity by delivering our expertise directly to your factory, making it as if you have your best operator on every shift.

•  Using the patented CutPro® Wizard, even new operators can be ready to cut production parts in less than five minutes

ProNest CNC nesting

ProNest® CNC software enables users to obtain optimal cut quality for nested part programs created using EDGE® Connect.

•  Through the touch screen interface, machine operators can conveniently create nested part programs without extensive training.

•  Empowers the machine operator for higher productivity and is an excellent companion package to offline ProNest software.

•  Directly import DXF, DWG and CNC simple shapes.

•  Embedded SureCut™ technology

to maximize performance through embedded expertise

•  Patented True Hole® technology with process verification ensures all operator variables are properly set.

•  Pattern Array Nesting for a single part with process optimization included.

•  Optional True Shape Nesting module for multiple parts available for purchase.

•  n-screen Software Operator’s Console (Soft OpCon) for easy setup and operation of cutting station and manual motion

  1. mechanical part

1) Portal frame of machine

The mainframe is composed of beam and two longitudinal driving frames. The beam is adopted  to welding square steel structure with stress release by tempering, high intensity and rigidity.Upper linear guide and below fine grinding guide track are assembled in front wall of the beam .The machine realizes high accuracy moving by gear and gear rack at transverse direction .And assistant transverse station driven by steel band .

Longitudinal guide track adopts high accuracy fine milled guide track, the clamping wheel is tightly fixed at the bottom of the longitudinal driving frame. Assuring the reliable running of the machine. Longitudinal driving system is equipped in the longitudinal driving frame, low-position design makes the transmission reliable and stable. At the bottom of the longitudinal driving frame, there are two wheels with bearing in front and behind, which can roll smoothly along the guide track.there is longitudinal guide track scraper to clear the scrap iron and others to guarantee no sundries on the surface of the guide track, there is off-set clamp wheel in each side bottom of the longitudinal frame, guaranteeing the guiding accuracy of the machine .

2) The driving of the machine

The driving of the machine is realized by the reliable servo motor system of Panasonic. Longitudinal and transverse driving devices are all composed of gear and accurate gear rack, guaranteeing the high accuracy in the continual running. XY axis decelerator each adopts original decelerator of Japanese SHIMPO, guaranteeing the low running noise and the gear gap.

Torch lifter driving: it adopts DC motor directly driving which makes the cutting torch up and down by ball screw , assuring the torch moves stable and reliable when up and down .

  1. Electrical component

HST series products are adopted the latest technical servo system and logical control system. Selecting AC servo driver and motor of Panasonic.

Main function and characteristic of the AC servo system of Panasonic:

    Adopt special arithmetic of Panasonic, make the response of speed frequency increase by 2 times and reach 500HZ;

Functions of resonance withhold and controlling: the frequency response of high speed, super-position adjustment will be shortened.

A series of functions to convenient using.

Containing frequency analysis functions (FFT), which can test the resonant point of the machine, convenient for adjust system.

There are two kinds of type of auto gain adjustment: conventional auto gain adjustment and real-time auto gain adjustment.

Equipped with RS485, RS232C communication port, the host controller can control 16 axis.

Motor protection rating IP65, and its environmental adaptability is strong.

Plasma power source(American Hypertherm PMX105)

With the maximum power and performance for air plasma in our line, the Powermax105 delivers superior cut quality and piercing up to 22 mm (7/8"). It has the duty cycle and reliability for the most demanding cutting and gouging jobs. Seven Duramax torch styles provide greater versatility for hand cutting, portable automation, x-y table cutting, and robotic cutting and gouging. Smart Sense™ technology automatically adjusts the gas pressure according to cutting mode and torch lead length. It also detects electrode end-of-life, automatically turning off power to the torch to prevent potential damage to other parts or the workpiece.

Benefits:

1)    Maximum productivity

Fast cut speeds: three times faster than oxyfuel on 12 mm (½") mild steel.

Superior cut and gouge quality means less time spent on grinding and edge preparation.

2) Easy-to-use for cutting and gouging

Smart Sense™ technology automatically sets correct air pressure based on torch length and operating mode.

Handheld, straight machine and robotic torches for greater versatility and ease-of-use.

Wide voltage tolerance improves performance on motor generators and in low-line conditions.

Improved shield reduces dross buildup and enables smoother drag cutting for a better cut.

3) Built and tested to withstand the harshest conditions

Duramax™ torches are designed for high impact and heat-resistance.

SpringStart™ technology ensures consistent starting and a more reliable torch.

Low maintenance for maximum uptime – it keeps on going.

4) Low operating cost

Long consumable life for lower cost and more uptime.

Exclusive electrode end-of-life detection protects the torch and workpiece from damage by automatically stopping power when the electrode is overused.

High power efficiency lowers energy consumption.
